Honoring the best in benefits: Castlight Customers leading the way

Posted September 13th 2017 by Castlight Health

Castlight is proud to work with some of the largest employers in the world and their innovative benefits leaders who deeply value employee health. That’s why it’s a privilege to see our customers being recognized for the great work they do helping their employees navigate healthcare and live happier, healthier, more productive lives.

Recently, we got the good news that two of our customers received honors from a leading health benefits publication.

Employee Benefit News awarded this year’s Benefits Leadership in Healthcare Award to Julie Wilkes, North American Wellness and Disability Program Lead for Accenture. Julie was awarded this recognition for developing Accenture’s innovative, engaging employee health program powered by Castlight’s health and wellbeing platform — Jiff.

The magazine profiled Wilkes’ work developing Accenture Active “from a grassroots effort into Accenture Active, a highly personalized, high-tech program.” Accenture Active is focused on an engaging user experience, targeted communications, holistic health incentives, and measuring results. The Accenture Active mobile app has led to higher employee engagement in the health program, including driving a 46 percent increase in employee activity tracking since January 2016. Today, nearly 70 percent of Accenture’s 50,000 U.S. employees have embraced Accenture Active.

It’s no surprise other benefits leaders want to learn from Julie’s success. Castlight will join her next week at EBN’s Benefits Forum & Expo in Boca Raton for a presentation on driving employee benefits engagement through mobile apps. She’ll also participate in a small group roundtable discussion where attendees will have the chance to chat with her on a variety of wellness topics.

Another benefits leader leading the way in her field is Sarah Sardella, Senior Director of Global Benefits for Akamai Technologies who was named Employee Benefits News’ Benefits Professional of the Year. Castlight is proud to be a part of Sarah’s innovative, family-friendly benefits program that makes Akamai a better place to work. The full story of the challenges Akamai faced and Sarah’s benefits solutions to them is featured in EBN’s profile, and she will also speak on 401(k) plan trends at the conference next week.

Castlight is honored to work with these and other top-quality benefits leaders on a daily basis. For more on how we work with employers to offer them and their employees a comprehensive health navigation platform, find us at the Benefits Forum & Expo, September 18-20, and visit our booth #414.
